This new retail development consists of seven (7) new, multi-tenant commercial buildings on a 4.66 acre lot.
Located at Sherwood Drive and Lakeland Drive in Sherwood Park, Aspen Plaza provides 96,000 sq.ft. of commercial space to support the local community. This commercial development comprises of nine buildings on 4.26 acres. Designed to promote pedestrian connectivity and interaction the resulting plaza will promote community gathering while providing retail experiences.
Red Valley Enterprises engaged Krahn Group to design and consult on the development of the commercial property located in West Abbotsford. Located in the developing Mt. Lehman District, Mt. Lehman Crossing is located on a high visibility commercial property along Hwy #1.
Anchored by major tenants including Shoppers Drug Mart, TD Bank, Scotiabank, Starbucks, and Popeyes Louisiana Kitchen, the first phase of this development is completed. Phase 2 is currently under construction.
This project involves the renovation and addition to an existing building on the Goldbar site. Our team provided the structural, mechanical, electrical, and civil engineering services for this significant renovation project. The project includes the addition of a control room, converting existing offices and support spaces into change rooms, new office spaces, and classroom areas. Additionally, sprinklers will be added to the entire building.
Our mechanical team designed the new HVAC, sprinkler, plumbing systems, service upgrade, and BMS for the building. To ensure the new systems will support the building operations our team conducted a thorough analysis of the existing system for capacity to ensure it’s ability to handle the increased loads. The new mechanical systems are designed to tie into the existing infrastructure including the existing sanitary and storm sewer, HVAC systems, and the addition of new water service to the building. This project consists of an approximately 124,465 sq.ft. new addition to the Labatt Brewery facility in Edmonton, AB. The addition includes a new production area, a new RTD area, interior storage and tank rooms, a warehouse area complete with a Logistics office and mezzanine, and an exterior Alcohol Tank Storage building. The project also includes the demolition of the north canopy of the existing Prairie Sales Office, the removal of the existing PH Control Building to be replaced with a new PH Control Building, and the relocation of underground services for the entire site.
KL Tech and Krahn Engineering were hired by Hallmark Poultry to design their new cold storage facility in Vancouver, BC. The building was constructed out of concrete tilt-up panels with open web steel joist roof and floor systems with concrete suspended slab over underground parking.
Subzero Cold Logistics is the first integrally insulated tilt-up freezer building in Western Canada. The 42,066 sq.ft. building is an insulated concrete tilt-up freezer storage facility that is designed to maintain temperatures at -25 degree Celsius (-4 degree Fahrenheit) to store frozen foods. The entire warehouse has been equipped with state-of-the-art racking systems to ensure the entire space can be utilized. The building also boasts a wide range of additional structural, thermal, moisture, and maintenance benefits associated with the use of insulated tilt-up construction.
This building won the Tilt-Up Achievement Award in 2019.
Krahn Group provided design services for this process grading facility for Golden Valley Foods Ltd. Located in the Mt. Lehman area, this facility contains office, processing and warehouse storage areas.
Klondike Cold Storage engaged the Krahn Group of Companies to provide design services to expand their cold storage operations required to support their processing businesses.
The exterior design was driven from the owner wanting the building to emulate an ice cube and be a reflectance of the operational interior.
