Krahn Group was hired to design this new concrete tilt-up warehouse and office building for Tri-Alta Oilfield Industries Ltd.
Canpar Courier is a one-storey 102,898 sq.ft. warehouse with a 5,000 sq.ft. office area that includes washrooms, cafeteria, boardroom, reception area, and individual offices.
Ironworks is a mixed-use light industrial and office complex encompassing an entire city block in Vancouver’s re-emerging portown district. The overall form of the project is a functional response to the site topography and the requirements of the anticipated users. The industrial functions are expressed in durable and economical cast in place and precast concrete construction with a lighter, more transparent expression being employed for the office floors which float above the Pandora building with a contrasting steel frame clad in glass and metal panels.
Vanguard Industrial consists of two concrete tilt-up multi-storey industrial buildings with a hollow core second floor system.
This development is the first stacked industrial development with two modern designed commercial and industrial buildings. Each building has two levels with a large mezzanine in each unit.
This development consists of two buildings comprising of 26 modern and functional warehouse units in the Dominion Triangle neighborhood in Port Coquitlam, BC, Canada. The combined area for both buildings is 65,315sq.ft. The gravity system is provided by the tilt wall panels to the perimeter of the building with a combination of internal structural steel framing consisting of beams and columns supported off reinforced concrete foundations and internal tilt wall panels supported off strip and pad foundations providing support to the open web steel joists and metal roof decking. The ground floors consist of 6” thick slab on grade. Tilt wall panels to the exterior and interior of the buildings provide the lateral support system.
The second-floor structure was constructed using wood TJI joists supported off a combination of interior stud partition walls, glulam beams and columns and the building tilt wall panels providing support to the plywood floor sheathing.
Due to the width of both building being approximately one fifth of the length of the buildings, the tilt wall panels on the short elevations and the interior of the buildings required hold down anchors to be provided to the panel ends and the foundations to deal with the seismic uplift forces.
This development consists of approximately 71,000 sq.ft. concrete tilt-up multi dock loading warehouse with 17,150 sq.ft. second floor office space in the East Newton industrial area in Surrey, BC. The gravity system is provided by the tilt wall panels to the perimeter of the building with a combination of internal structural steel framing consisting of beams and columns supported off reinforced concrete foundations and internal tilt wall panels supported off strip and pad foundations providing support to the open web steel joists and metal roof decking. The ground floors consist of 7” thick slab on grade. Tilt wall panels to the exterior and interior of the buildings provide the lateral support system.
The second-floor structure was constructed using open web steel joists and steel beams supporting the composite metal deck and concrete floor slabs. A combination of structural steel braces and the tilt wall panels provide the lateral support system to the second-floor level.
The Krahn Group was hired by Beedie Construction Ltd. to design this concrete tilt-up industrial building in the Gloucester Industrial Park located in Langley, BC. The building also includes a two level office area.
The project consists of a concrete tilt-up warehouse and distribution facility made up of 4 industrial units to be approximately 20,000 sq.ft. each.
Krahn Group was hired by Wesgroup Properties to provide design and engineering services for this two building multi-tenant concrete tilt-up industrial development on a 8.5 acre site located just north of the Hwy #1 and Mt. Lehman interchange. The site offers high exposure to the Mt. Lehman area for industrial users.
This project is another addition to the Campbell Heights Industrial area and provides a manufacturing, office, and distribution space for Bailey Metals. The 104,000 sq.ft. concrete tilt-up facility situated on 7 acres comes equipped with custom racking options and a two-level office space. A statement staircase in the lobby and numerous details throughout the building were installed to showcase the clients products.
